Product Commercialization
MIS is focused on gaining FDA and CE clearance on its orthopedic and general surgery disposable endoscope product line such that commercialization may commence in 2012. The market opportunity for MIS’s CMOS platform is substantial. Frost and Sullivan projects the market for CMOS image sensors will reach $5 billion by 2011. However, this projection is for single CMOS “camera on a chip” applications and does not take into consideration new CMOS applications.
