Licensing

To date, MIS has embarked on the strategy to outlicense its technology in medical fields outside orthopedics and general surgery. The results have been very productive and serve to bolster the validation and strength of our intellectual property position.

2005: Co-exclusive license for reusable-only medical devices across all medical fields with a multi-billion (revenue) medical device market leader.

2007: Exclusive license for re-usable and disposable medical devices in a very specific endo-cardiovascular application with a privately-held medical device manufacturer

2008: Co-exclusive license for reusable-only medical, veterinarian and industrial devices across all fields with a privately-held, multi-billion (revenue) medical device market leader.

2010: Exclusive license for re-usable and disposable medical devices in a specific medical field with a privately-held, multi-billion (revenue) medical device market leader.

2011: Expansion of 2010 exclusive license for re-usable and disposable medical devices in multiple medical fields with a privately-held, multi-billion (revenue) medical device market leader.

MIS is actively seeking additional partners interested in leveraging the disposable CMOS technology and the MIS intellectual property position in the following available medical fields, including:

- Traditional Laparoscopy/General Surgery

- Orthopedics

- Certain Spinal Applications

- Opthalmology
