Micro-Imaging Solutions

Micro-Imaging Solutions, LLC (“MIS”), a Colorado Limited Liability Company located in Denver, Colorado, has patented micro-digital complimentary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) imaging technology that will solve important unmet needs in medical endoscopy, the means by which many minimally invasive procedures are conducted. An endoscope is a medical device used to visualize internal organ surfaces, including joints, airways/lungs, urinary and reproductive tracts, and the gastrointestinal tract, among others.

Our patented technology allows for the miniaturization of digital cameras that are significantly less expensive to produce, have consistently-higher resolution and enable a product design flexibility that does not exist today (disposable).

There are at least two major problems with today’s existing reusable endoscope technology:

  • Degrading Image Quality: Current rod lens endoscopes suffer at least 25-30% image degradation over time;
  • High Total Cost of Ownership: Current endoscopes are reusable, not disposable, requiring expensive and time-consuming cleaning and disinfection (with risk of cross-contamination between patients); high cost of ownership, including upfront capital expense and repair/replacement expense. Rod lens endoscopes are very fragile and easily damaged.

MIS’ CMOS-imaging endoscopes address the problems:

  • Superior image quality;
  • Single-use, disposable endoscopes, eliminating cleaning and disinfection and potential for cross-contamination between patients; greatly reduced cost of ownership; limited capital outlay.

The Company has over 30 issued patents (USA, EU, Japan, Canada), and has additional pending patent applications.
